The Nighthawk-MG is a tough, feature packed device built to perform in harsh conditions. The housing is precision machined from 7075-T6 aircraft grade aluminum, ensuring durability in demanding environments. The binocular includes rotary controls for power and IR illuminator, along with a secondary dial for manual gain (brightness) adjustment of the image intensifier tubes. It operates on a single onboard CR123 battery or can utilize an external power source connected via a 4-pin LEMO-style plug. The binocular also features an interpupillary adjustment to fit a range of users comfortably. Its articulating design allows the optical pods to fold flat against the helmet when in the stowed position, reducing neck strain and protecting both the device and the user from potential impacts.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each unit housing waterproof is tested and unit is collimated before it is delivered to customer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Compared with the Gen2+ image intensifier tube, the Gen 3 image intensifier tube uses GaAs photocathode. GaAs is more efficient in converting photons into electrons, it can provide better resolution and sensitivity, and it can provide better observation effects in darker environments.<\/span><\/p>\n
